This year, BusinessCode became part of the Open Logistics Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting innovation and efficiency in the logistics and supply chain industry through open source solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonn, April 16, 2024<\/strong> With over 25 years of experience in the implementation of IT projects for customers in the logistics sector, BusinessCode brings extensive expertise to the Open Logistics Foundation<\/a>. BusinessCode is also actively represented in the Foundation’s Track and Trace Working Group. \u201cWe are delighted to support the projects of the Open Logistics Foundation,\u201d says Martin Schulze, CEO of BusinessCode. \u201cThanks to our expertise gained in hundreds of projects for customers in the logistics industry, we know that certain topics and tasks are ripe for standardisation and an open source approach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For more than two decades, BusinessCode has been a leader in the provision of customised IT solutions, especially for the logistics sector. The Bonn-based IT company has a broad customer portfolio that includes globally recognised companies such as DHL Express, Aramex,<\/a> Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and K\u00fchne & Nagel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The core of BusinessCode is the BCD suite<\/a>, a software library that forms the basis for individualised and customised IT solutions. It is used to create complex web applications that have to handle large amounts of data and map multi-level workflows. Important fields of application include data analytics and performance management, master data management and eCommerce platforms. Large parts of the BCD suite are available as open source software. With the BlueBoxAir tracking solution from its subsidiary BlueBox Systems, BusinessCode is also one of the leading software providers in the field of air freight visibility. It is therefore no surprise that BusinessCode is part of the Track and Trace Working Group of the Open Logistics Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Open Logistics Foundation is a non-profit community dedicated to promoting innovation and efficiency in the logistics and supply chain industry through open source solutions. Founded in October 2021, the foundation aims to facilitate the collaborative development of open source solutions to address challenges in logistics and supply chain management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
