10 February 2021 After the Bonn-based software house BusinessCode launched its innovative tracking solution for the logistics industry, CTO Martin Bernemann has been appointed as the second CEO.
“Martin Bernemann, who was previously responsible for software development and technology as CTO, is now going to do this as second CEO,” explains Martin Schulze, CEO, the appointment. “The promotion of Martin Bernemann reflects the importance of technological advancement for our company. He has been key developer of our in-house BCD suite and other technological foundations for our successful business model from the very beginning of his tenure,” Schulze emphasizes.
Bernemann began his career in Bonn as a software developer for a company specializing in legal systems for banks and insurance companies. Here he got to know and appreciate the founder of BusinessCode, Hanno Gehron. Before joining BusinessCode in 2002, he gained experience abroad in San Francisco, for instance as a workflow engineer. Thus, the IT specialist developed solutions that are in use at Cisco, Intel, as well as IMTS, among others. “Time and working methods in and around Silicon Valley have been extremely inspiring for me. The amount of know-how available there is still impressive today,” Bernemann emphasizes.
Based on this experience, the IT professional has played a key role in shaping the development of BusinessCode’s own technology and its use in projects. “The continuous improvement of our in-house technological basis with cloud and machine learning will be my central task, which I eagerly look forward to,” explains Bernemann.
This appointment is a clear indication of the company’s future-oriented market positioning. The prominent customers based all over the world, who work with BusinessCode solutions daily, will continue to be supplied with innovations from Bonn in the future.
